Tayabas City Hosts Tilt Bodybuilding on September 17 – Manila Bulletin

TAYABAS City, Quezon – The World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF)-Philippines has chosen Kamayan sa Palaisdaan as the venue for its fifth competition on Saturday, September 17.

Tina Decal of Kulinarya Tagala, owner of a travel agency and former president of the Tourism Organization of the Province of Quezon Philippines Inc. (TPQPPI), said she helped pave the way for the WNBF- PH to identify suitable venues for the event. and the local government unit of Tayabas City Tourism Board and Quezon Province Tourism Board supported the promotion of the event.

The event is an international bodybuilding competition that emphasizes fitness, wellness and its advocacy of drug-free sports, Decal said.

Decal added that WNBF Philippines President Christopher Byrne expects to attract over 200 guests, contestants and fitness enthusiasts from the Philippines and around the world.

“Last year was San Jose in Tarlac, this year I wanted to showcase the beautiful province of Quezon, the area where my family is from,” Byrne said.

Byrne was born and raised in Canada to an Irish father and a Filipina mother from Sariaya, Quezon, according to Decal.

The one-day competition will award prizes and business cards in three categories such as Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique and Women’s Bikini.

As a result, WNBF athletes must pass a polygraph examination before going on stage to determine that they have been drug-free for 10 years. Winners and randomly selected athletes must submit a urine sample. This sample is sent to a WADA-approved lab in California and tested for banned substances, including diuretics, anabolic steroids, clenbuterol, and other performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

The WNBF sets itself apart from other bodybuilding organizations by actually testing its athletes. WNBF contestants can rest assured that they are entering a truly natural stage.

For spectators, fitness enthusiasts, and future athletes, it’s your chance to prove that a great physique and big muscles can be achieved by eating right and following an intense training regimen without using PEDs.
