GotG 3’s Will Poulter Shows How Well He Got To Play Adam Warlock

Actor Will Poulter shows the results of his intense preparation for the role of Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Actor Will Poulter has shared the results of his training for his upcoming role as Adam Warlock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Poulter took the time to display the polished physique he spent months cultivating for his debut as one of Marvel’s most powerful characters. The British actor confidently mimicked a statue’s pose, while flexing his arms and smiling at the camera.

Poulter has previously discussed the grueling training regimen he endured to level up to Adam Warlock. “It’s been a lot of gym work and a very, very specific diet,” he said. “Sometimes that means not particularly civilized. Amounts of food that you wouldn’t necessarily want to ingest. And other times, not enough food. I’ve been on a series of different diets over the past few months.” Poulter went on to explain how his workout regimen also affected his social life, with the actor saying he couldn’t have dinner with friends due to his strict routine.

Director James Gunn revealed that Poulter put in just as much work on set as he did in the gym. Gunn praised Poulter’s performance as Adam Warlock, commenting, “He’s the best. He kills it. People are gonna really like Adam – or like? They’re gonna like Adam Warlock, I’ll say. ” The director further shared his excitement for the film’s debut, with the director believing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be “dark and deep and [go] in all characters.

Poulter also described his experience auditioning for the role of Adam Warlock, with the actor revealing he wasn’t told about his character until the final stages of the casting process. “I auditioned for the first time in June [2021]and that was the first time I auditioned, and then I got the part in September, I think,” Poulter recalls. “And then I started shooting in December…I didn’t know which character, I was originally auditioning for. He went on to admit he didn’t know Adam Warlock before he was given the role. Poulter also said he was a fan of guardians of the galaxycalling it his favorite “planet” in the Marvel Universe”.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to land in theaters on May 5, 2023.
