Bodybuilders flex their muscles in Kadoma

Bodybuilders from different parts of the country are ready to flex their muscles in the Odyssey Ironman Zimbabwe bodybuilding and fitness competition taking place in Kadoma this weekend.

The competition promises fireworks, with contests in six divisions and a number of top contenders taking part.

Athletes will compete for the categories Senior Men Body Building, Junior Men Body Building up to and including 23 years old, Wheelchair Men Body Building, Men Physic and Men Fitness.

The General Secretary of the National Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation of Zimbabwe (NFZBBF), said Quiet Shangani NewsDay Sport that the preparations were going well and that the athletes were ready for the big competition.

“It’s going to be a great show. Athletes can’t wait to get there. We are working hard to make sure that in terms of logistics we are on point,” he said.

“We are hosting the Ironman Sports and Fitness Festival on May 28, 2022 in Kadoma at the Odyssey where the main attraction is the Ironman Zimbabwe Bodybuilding and Fitness competition which was officially known as Mr and Mrs Ironman.

“We are expecting Mark Vasilatos, Edward Mutero, Francis Chidere, Gedion Teguru, Chantel Bhachi and Shyleen Nyathi, among other top athletes. There are additional events taking place outside of bodybuilding and fitness competition. We also have strength challenges where people are tested on their strength.
